Abstract
564,330. Pipe joints. AIRSEALAND, Ltd. June 2, 1943, No. 8842. Convention date, Jan. 15, 1943. [Class 99 (i)] In a joint of the kind in which a flared pipe end 11 is drawn up on'a tapered spigot 12 by a coupling nut 30, the conical surface 33 of the nut which engages the flared pipe end is recessed to receive a ring 24 of harder metal than the pipe, the ring biting into the pipe -before the surface 33 engages therewith, and having a leading edge of not more than 90 degrees.
