Abstract
564,099. Containers for toilet powders. JARRETT, RAINSFORD & LAUGHTON, Ltd., LAUGHTON, G. A., and LORCH, S. Jan. 13, 1943, No. 646. [Class 18] [Also in Group XXV] A box or container a, Fig. 5, for toilet powder, of the kind having an ordinary outer lid held closed by an ordinary fastening and an inner lid e also held closed by a fastening, has this second fastening releasable by pressing a plunger projecting through the rim of the container and secured to a spring wire m so arranged that pressure on the plunger moves the element m and its securing loop i outwards and so carries outwards the securing means h of the inner lid e. The return movement is effected by the resiliency of wire m. In an alternative shown in Fig. 7, pressure on a plunger s controlled by a leaf spring v releases a lip u from a lip t.
