764,125. Powder compacts. JARRETT, RAINSFORD & LAUGHTON, Ltd. and LAUGHTON, H. A. J. Jan. 31, 1955 [Jan. 13, 1955], No. 1047/55. Class 18. A powder compact has a bezel or frame 30 hinged to the body for retaining a compacted pad of powder or a filter. The frame 30 may have peripheral ribs enabling it to engage powder pads 28 of various dimensions. A spring member 33 forces the pad upwardly against the frame. The pad and member 33 may be replaced by loose powder covered by a filter held in place by the frame 30. A resilient catch 32 holds the frame in closed position.
