Abstract

563,265. Friction pivots. AKTIEBOLAGET SVEAEXPORT. March 23, 1943, No. 4738. Convention date, Sept. 30, 1942. [Class 65 (ii)] A friction pivot for a window &c. comprises plates 4, 5 fixed respectively to the frame and the window, and a pin 9 fixed to 5 by means of a tongue 8 and screws 6. A series of discs 12 is threaded on the pin, alternate ones being fixed thereon by engaging grooves in the pin, while the others pivot thereon. A spiral spring 21 adjustable by means of nut 22 and washer 20 presses the discs together. The pin 9 pivots on the disc 4 and the discs which pivot on 9 are fixed to 4 by a pin 15 on 4 engaging holes 13 in the discs.
