Abstract
562,603. Bedsteads &c. SEXTON, C: P. Jan. 4, 1943, No. 121. [Class 52 (ii)] A bedstead, chaiselongue, camp bed, bunk or the like, .wherein two tubular longitudinals each comprises two parts 12, 13, or 14, 15, Figs. 1 and 3, joined together by a tubular H-member 32 embodying cross-pieces 16, 17, is characterised in that each cross-piece carries two spigots of two spigot-and-socket joints for detachably connecting together adjacent ends of the two parts of a longitudinal. The member 32 is detachably connected to legs 30, 31 by spigot-and-socket joints, and similar joints are used to connect legs 22 ... 25 and end members 26, 28. A canvas sheet 38 for resting on has loops through which the frame members are , threaded and is provided also with two pairs of pockets 58, 60. When the framework is dismembered, the cross-pieces 16, 17 of the member 32 are placed in the pockets. 58, 60, as shown in Fig. 2, and the other constituent parts are placed in the sheet, the member 32 serving as a carrying handle. Two of the bedsteads described above may be spaced apart side by side and connected by a third resting sheet. Specification 446,312 is referred to.
