557,339. Dicyclopentadiene. YORKSHIRE TAR DISTILLERS, Ltd., and MILNER, D. W. June 16, 1942, No. 8241. [Class 2 (iii)] Dicyclopentadiene is separated from mixtures containing it, such as the " front runnings" obtained in the distillation of crude benzole, by subjecting the mixture to fractional distillation in the presence of water whereby a constant boiling mixture of dicyclopentadiene and water is obtained as a distillate, and crystallizing.
