Abstract

557,333. Buttons. MARCUS, N. May 13, 194 No. 6513. [Class 43] A two-part button comprises a plate 1 having two tongues 2, 3 stamped from it each of which may have a portion cut away from it to form a step, and a disc 7 with a recessed portion 20 formed with two slits 8, 9. After being forced through the material of the garment the tongues are passed through the slits 8, 9 and bent down so that the point of each tongue enters the opposite slit and with the tongues lying side by side, with, if provided, the cut-away portions of the tongues inter-engaging each other. The parts 1, 7 may be connected together by a strip 21, Fig. 5.
