554,783. Bridges; struts and tee bars. BUTTERLEY CO., Ltd., and WATERS, C. June 30, 1942, No. 8969. Addition to 548,048. [Classes 20 (i) and 20 (ii)] An improvement in or modification of the invention of the parent Specification which consists in replacing the box-section girders forming the side members of the bridge by girders a having at each end a pair of apertured side plates b between which the cylindrical drums, bosses or the like c are positioned with or without the top and bottom plates d. These end plates are secured to transverse plates f which in turn are attached to the ends of the main length of girder which is preferably of tubular section. The ends of the girder section are placed between the apertured end plates of the main bobbin connecting members and secured thereto by bolts.
