Girders.-A girder is formed of braces and booms, the braces b being provided with perforated flattened ends k through which the booms a pass, wedges c being provided through the booms to secure the joint. The girder may be of V-section, and the lower boom may be single or double; in the latter construction, one end of the boom member is secured by a wedge u, while the other end passes through the laminµ k and rests in the loop of the wine stay e, a wedge l connecting the stay and boom ends together.
