Abstract

552,717. Tool-holders. - LEEMANN, E. Sept. 30, 1941, No. 12615. [Class 83 (iii)] A tool holder for a capstan or other lathe comprises a body 1 having a shank 2 for securing to a turret or tool post, the body being bored to receive a headed pivot 3 secured to an intermediate member 5 which has a dovetail guideway 14 for a toot-holding member 13 having micrometric adjusting means. Angular adjustment of the intermediate member about the pivot axis is effected by a screw 8 coacting with a pin 7, the member being locked by a screw 11. The toolholding member is adjustable to and from the shank axis by a micrometer screw 16 and is locked in adjusted position by a screw 20.
