Abstract

551,565. Mounting terminals. CINCH MANUFACTURING CORPORATION. Nov. 24, 1941, No. 15108. Convention date, Dec. 6, 1940. [Class 38 (i)] A flat terminal 2 is secured to an insulating support 1 by pressing from the terminal body a pair of lugs 6 having their ends of V-shape so as to provide pointed projections 9 that can be upset after passing through the support. The lugs are formed entirely within the marginal edges of the body 4 leaving apertures 7. Rectangular holes 3 in the support 1 receive the lugs 6 and the projections 9 are then forced apart to bite into the ends of the holes 3 and flattened to engage the surface of the support. The terminal has an opening 5 for soldering a wire to it.
