An oven having a lagged side wall g' formed with top and bottom apertures g<SP>7</SP> is detachably supported in guides g at one side of a steel partition e of a cooker fitted at the other side of the partition with a gas burner i, the heat conducted through the partition causing a circulation by convection of the air upwards between the partition and the side wall and downwards through the oven. The partition e is provided on both sides with vertical fins e<SP>1</SP>, e<SP>2</SP> to promote the transference of heat. The top g<SP>1</SP>, bottom g<SP>2</SP>, side wall g<SP>4</SP>, and door of the oven and the division wall h of the combustion gas flue are also lagged.
