550,890. Composite products of a polyvinyl halide. DURATUBE & WIRE Ltd., and VEIT, J. July 23, 1941.. No. 9283. [Class 2 (iii)] A product is made of thermoplastic material in two layers having different properties, the one layer consisting of a polyvinyl halide and a plasticizer, and the other layer consisting of the same polyvinyl halide and either a different plasticizer or a different proportion of the same plasticizer. In examples, insulating sleeving or crating consists of two layers of polyvinyl chloride, (1) the two layers containing different t proportions of tricresyl phosphate, (2) the inner layer being plasticized with tricresyl phosphate and the outer layer with dibutyl phthalate, and (3) the inner layer being plasticized with a chlorinated diphenyl resin and the outer layer with tricresyl or tributyl phosphate with dibutyl or other phthalate, or with a mixture of these compounds.
