549,254. Catamenial bandages. JOHNSON & JOHNSON (GT. BRITAIN), Ltd. July 18, 1941. No. 9129. Convention date, July 19, 1940. [Class 81 (ii)] A catamenial bandage comprises a filling 1 of absorbent material and an outer confining casing 3 which is pervious to moisture and impervious to the filling and is made from a soft sheet of relatively long corded fibres strengthened by lines of a bonding medium, e.g. latex, spaced a distance less than the average length of the corded fibres. The lines 11 run transversely or transversely and longitudinally of the lay of the corded fibres, swells 13 of fibres being formed between the lines of the bonding medium. Specification 468,529, [Group VIII] is referred to.
