Abstract
548,859. Burner igniting devices. ELECTROLUX, Ltd. Feb. 27, 1942, No. 2588. Convention date, March 7, 1941. [Class 75 (iii)] The device, which is applied to refrigerating apparatus, comprises a by-pass controlled by a valve and fitted with two jets, one directed to the burner, and the other to a flash-back tube which is movable longitudinally by hand and operates the valve against spring pressure. The burner housing 1 has a by-pass controlled by a spring-returned valve with an operating stem 8, the main passage supplying the burner 2 preferably through a passage controlled by a detector valve. The bypass feeds the two jets 11, 12, the latter directed to the burner, the former to the flash-back tube 13 having an operating handle 18 and an arm 16 which engages the valve stem 8. In a modification the tube 13 has an end knob and a side orifice.
