Abstract
548,573. Concrete mixers. WINGET, Ltd., and DICKSON. G. June 23, 1941. No. 7896. [Class 86] [Also in Group XXX] Relates to machines for mixing concrete, or other materials, comprising a mixing drum and a track or ramp inclined upwardly towards the mouth of the drum so that a skip or truck can be hauled on to the ramp from a filling station, and comprises means for guiding on to and centralizing on the ramp a skip or truck approching it from any of a number of directions angularly inclined'to each other, so that any one of a number of skips or trucks can be emptied into the drum while others are being filled. The truck S may have wheels 13 which run up angle irons 6 of the ramp and, at the front, a pair of rollers 14 which engage the channel of the member 5 of the ramp. At the end contacting with the ground the guides 7 are flared at 7A to guide the outermost trucks S when they are _hauled towards the ramp by a cable 17. At the top of the ramp the rollers 14 drop into recesses 11, and continued pull on the cable tips the truck to discharge its contents into the drum. Each truck may be secured to an endless cable.
