Abstract

546,842. Fishing. GROEN, D. J. June 4, 1941, No. 7095. [Class 48] An otter board 1 of aerofoil section is of a length not greater than its height and has a weighted shoe 5 at the bottom secured by side plates and rivets 6. The towing cable 13 is connected to the outer ends of pivoted arms 7, 11, and the net cable to a pivoted arm 9, the eye 9<SP>1</SP> of which is connected to the ends of 7, 11 by a rod. Two sets of 7, 9, 11 may be provided the cables being correspondingly forked. The arms are on the same side of the board, and the latter may be tapered from the bottom to the top. Specification 523,452 is referred to.
