546,275. Power plant. MASCHINENFABRIK OERLIKON. May 15, 1940, No. 8708. Convention date, June 28, 1939. [Class 7 (i)] [Also in Group XXVI] A power-plant comprises separately driven turbines or other prime movers 3, 8 and compressors 1, 6 connected to heaters or combustion chambers 2, 7. The turbine cycle 6, 7, 8 gives up heat at its lowest temperature in an exchanger 9 to the gas for the turbine 3 before it enters the combustion chamber 2. The exhaust from turbine 3 passes through a heat-exchanger 5 to atmosphere or, if working on a closed cycle, to a cooler 4.
