545,233. Vacuum cleaners. HERZOG, H. March 11, 1941, No. 3320. Convention date, March 20, 1940. [Class 8 (i)] The suction nozzle 7, connecting channel containing the fan 5 and motor 3, and outlet 8 leading to an external dust-bag are in line and the interior of the casing 1, 2 forming and enclosing these parts is streamlined. The motor casing 4 is insulated, and vibration damped, by an insulating plate 19 through which it is supported from the body or outer casing, which is formed in two parts joined transversely. The fan blades are shaped to the casing. The dust-bag has an air valve 9. A hollow handle connection 14 is fixed on the casing and may contain a contact 16 communicating with the motor switch and supplying current to heating coils which may replace the dust-bag when a hot-air douche is required.
