Abstract
544,148. Moulding rubber. EXPANDED RUBBER CO., Ltd., SHELMERDINE, H. N., and CLARKE, A. V. Oct. 16, 1940, No. 15352. [Class 87 (ii)] Cylindrical moulds 5 are stacked in vertical rows on a base 2, being cradled between bars 3. Each mould comprises separate parts 5, 6, 7, the top 6 and base 7 of any intermediate mould forming the base of the mould above it and the top of the mould below it respectively. The top of the uppermost mould is engaged by a clamping screw 4. The moulds are used for moulding and vulcanizing expanded rubber articles. The moulding faces of the parts 6 and 7 may be convex or concave.
