544,126. Composite section bars. GREAT LAKES STEEL CORPORATION. March 26, 1940, Nos. 5466 and 5467. Convention dates, March 28, 1939 and March 30, 1939. [Class 20 (ii)] A composite metal nailing stud for buildings comprises a channel section bar 12 of bent sheet metal with longitudinal grooves 20 disposed near its flanges and projecting in the direction of the flanges 14, and two corresponding grooved bent sheet metal angle section members 16 joined to the ends of the web of the channel member in spaced relationship to form bent nailing grooves. Projections 30 are formed at intervals in the grooves of the channel member to abut against the ridges of the corrugations in the angle members which are welded thereto. Transverse corrugations 32 are formed at intervals in the web of the channel member preferably at the positions where the projections. 30 are formed.
