544,071. Bituminous compositions. DUSSEK, A. E. H. Sept. 25, 1940, No. 14542. [Class 22] For covering roads, paths, floors, roofs &c. a colloidal clay such as bentonite is mixed with water, bitumen, asbestos fibre and powdered vulcanized rubber such as tyre waste to form a smooth plastic mass. When required for use, the mass is mixed with a dry filler such as limestone powder, sand, Portland or other cement, slate dust &c. The mixture is spread and dries to a firm mass in a short time. The surface is preferably first coated with an adhesive preparation such as paint, tar, bitumen, bitumen emulsion &c.
