Abstract

543,133. Nozzles for vacuum cleaners. ELECTROLUX, Ltd. Oct. 22,1940, No. 15564. Oonvention date, Sept. 25, 1939. [Class 8 (i)] A vacuum cleaner nozzle comprises a swivelling body having two mouths 13, 14 applicable alternatively by the swivelling motion, the body being formed in two parts 10, 11 contacting in a plane passing through the mouths, which are flanged inwardly at 17, 18, and may be toothed, the teeth on the fore and aft jaws being misaligned. A liner 23 between the nozzle halves receives the suction connection 22. The nozzle body is formed with suction spaces, one of which may contain a biasing weight.
