542,782. Pencil holders. FARRING- TON, H. M., and FARRINGTON, ROSE & CO., Ltd. Aug. 17, 1940, No. 13139. [Class 146 (iii)] In a pencil holder in which the lead is held against rearward movement by frictional means disengageable by a finger-piece projecting through a slot in the casing, the lead-holding tube 4a has a retaining-member in the form of a resilient extension 4b of angular form, which fits within the bore of the casing, so that its free end 4c is spring-pressed against the wall. The retaining-member is disengaged by pushing in a fingerpiece 4d secured to its free end.
