Abstract
542,558. Metal-vapour rectifiers. AKT.-GES. BROWN, BOVERI, & CIE. June 10, 1940, No. 10115. Convention date, June 8, 1939. [Class 39 (i)] A metal vapour rectifier is provided with a cooling jacket and tubes extending through the condensation chamber through which cooling air is passed. The cathode c is of ring form, and a passage into which the tubes g<SP>4</SP> open, passes through it. Air is passed through the tubes g<SP>4</SP> and a jacket h by a fan. The anode arms g may bear cooling-fins g<SP>3</SP>. The tubes g<SP>1</SP> may be parallel, as shown, or divergent, as indicated by the dotted lines. They may be cylindrical or flaring.
