Abstract
542,270. Optical-projection apparatus. KODAK, Ltd. (Eastman Kodak Co.). March 17, 1941, No. 3671. [Class 97 (i)] Air is directed upwards from a conduit through a housing 1 (incompletely shown) so as to pass on both sides of a slide 3, and the slide and the bottom member 7 of a slide carrier in conjunction with shaped lower and upper members 33, 21, form an "air-foil section" splitting the air into two non-turbulent streams. Transparent plates may be carried behind and in front of the slide, and close to it, to provide thin air channels between them and the slide. The carrier is movable through openings in the housing, has handles 9, projections 8 on the member 7, posts 10, 11 forming slide-retaining guides housing springs 13, and grooves 20 in the posts engaging the member 21. A condenser lens may be carried by the rear wall of the housing 1, and the front transparent plate may be carried by the front wall of the housing or be spaced behind an aperture therein.
