Abstract

540,792. Fuel economisers. MORRIS HEATING APPLIANCES. Ltd., and TOLCHER, J. H. May 16, 1941, No. 6126/40. [Class 126] A fuel economiser for domestic grates consists of a chamber adapted to be placed on the rear of the grate against the fire back having a curved top 1 provided with apertures 2 for directing air entering the bottom of the chamber in an upward direction. The back 5 and one side 3 are made integral and are connected to the curved top and the other side which are also made integral by means of a bolt 10. Baffles 4, 4a 6 are provided. The openings in the top may be in the form of horizontal louvres.
