540,548. Seats. GIBBONS, T. G. Nov. 25, 1940. No. 16883. [Classes 52 (ii) and 52 (v)] A seat for a counter, &c. comprises a column 1 pivoted at its lower end at 3 to a foot 2 secured to the floor or the lower part of the counter and adapted to be swung outwardly for use under control of a spring 5 an adjustable stop 15 being provided. The seat part 8 is preferably pivoted at 11 to the top of the column and provided with a spring 12 so that the seat may lie flat against the counter, &c. in the out-of-use position. Foot rests 18 are provided.
