538,251. Electric water heaters. RUSH, H. A. May 7, 1940, No. 8227. [Class 39 (iii)] A heater adapted for insertion in a hot-water bottle has electrodes consisting of a carbon rod 30 and a surrounding carbon tube 34. The carbon rod is connected to a currentsupply terminal 19 through a thermostat consisting of a bimetallic strip 10 which contacts with an adjustable screw 20 passing through the terminal. The surfaces of the electrodes are coated with metal to resist corrosion.
