Abstract
537,043. Forced flow steam boilers. SULZER FRERES SOC. ANON. Dec. 5, 1939, No. 31528. Convention date, March 23. [Class 123 (ii)] The tubes of a once-through boiler or like heat exchanger are connected in parallel and arranged in two groups A, B placed side by side and having equal heating surfaces, each group being subdivided into five parts a-e in the direction of flow of the heating gases. Each tube has layers in parts a, b and e of one group and layers in parts c, d of the other group, the layers being so arranged that the sum of the heat taken up in the separate layers is the same for each tube.
