Abstract
533,255. Valve circuits for wireless reception. PHILIPS LAMPS, Ltd. Oct. 23, 1939, No. 28511. Convention date, Oct. 26, 1938. [Class 40 (v)] High frequency oscillations are fed to diode-anode 2 and the rectified signal is taken from a tapping on resistance 4 to a grid 7 when it is amplified and fed through output transformer 8 to loudspeaker 9. Negative feed-back is supplied by coils 10, 11 on the transformer core connected through a small condenser 13 to the lower end of resistance 4. Coil 11 is bridged by a potentiometer 12 the sliding contact of which is connected through a small condenser 16 to a point on a leakage resistance 6. Negative feed-back of the high tones takes place through condenser 13 independently of the position of the slider on 12, movement of which varies the feed-back on the low tones. The connection of a condenser 15 to the anode causes an increase in feed-back of the high tones when the slider is moved upwards to increase the low tone feed-back. The condenser 16 gives a sharp cut-off at the upper end of the tone register at maximum volume.
