Abstract

532,559. Boxes or crates. LUSTY, W. K. Sept. 7, 1939, No. 25329. [Class 18] A box or crate of plywood has its corner portions b rounded in an outwardly curved form so as to extend in a smooth curve around the sharp corners of a frame c lying within the sides a of the box. The sides a may be secured to the frame by staples, and a base piece d may be secured to the frame by nails. Each corner piece may be made separately, so that the box has four rebated or stepped overlapping joints as at k; alternatively, the sides a can be made in one piece by bending or shaping. The box may be closed by a lid having a plywood member g which fits into the top of the box and is carried by a frame f having a flanged top h which rests on the tops of the sides of the box.
