Abstract

532,159. Cabinets. ART METAL CONSTRUCTION CO., JONES, J. R., GRONBERG, V. A., and HULTBERG, L. M. Aug. 18, 1939, No. 23868. [Classes 52 (i) and 52 (iii)] A platform 14 for a typewriter &c. is carried by a frame 13 hinged to a sliding carrier 19 which can be pushed into a compartment 11 closed by a door 12. The platform when raised is secured by a bolt 36, which can be released by a trigger 45, and its movement is counterbalanced by springs 52. The carrier 19 runs between rollers 22 and means are provided to retain the platform in its vertical position until withdrawn to the correct extent from the compartment. The door 12 telescopically houses a screen 60.
