[Class 12 (i)] [Also in Group XXVI] A turbine rotor 17 is supported on the highpressure side by a one-piece carbon block bearing 25 in a closed chamber. The block is mounted in spherically surfaced rings 28, 29 pressed by a spring 31. The cylindrical exteriors of the block are encased in corrugated steel sheaths 32, 33.
