527,910. Shoulder pads; coats; carriers for golf bags and other articles. BERLINSKY, A. March 9, 1939, No. 7641. [Class 132 (ii)] [Also in Groups VII and XVII] A shoulder protecting device for use on shoulder straps for carrying golf club bags or other articles or for incorporation in a golf jacket or other garment comprises a pad provided at each end or opposed points with securing means for attaching the pad to the shoulder strap. As shown in Fig. 2, sponge rubber or other padding material 3 is enclosed within a leather casing 1, 2 through which the shoulder strap 5 passes. Press pins and sockets 8, 9 locate the pad on the strap. In a modification, Fig. 4, slotted plates 13 are attached to the pad and carry elastic loops 11 through which the shoulder strap is threaded. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 5166/93, [Class 132], 219,874, 231,879, [both in Class 141], and 411,571, [Group VII].
