Abstract

523,737. Photographic transparencies. MENDELSOHN, J. L. Jan. 13, 1939, No. 1194. Drawings to Specification. [Class 98 (ii)] Signs for shop &c. display are produced photographically by contact or projection printing from a composite negative on to material comprising a translucent support having a light-sensitive layer on each side, e.g., translucent paper or celluloid having silver bromide emulsion layers, the layer to be printed through the support being more sensitive than the other. The composite negative is prepared by sticking on to a carrier as of glass or celluloid negative films bearing respectively a pictorial film and one or more inscriptions ; or the inscription may be applied to the carrier as by painting, stencilling, or by the use of transfers. The rear layer of the sign may be stained as with aniline dye. Specifications 12585/99, [ Class 98], 196,008 and 316,811, [both in Class 98 (ii)], are referred to.
