Abstract
523,038. Turbine blades. BAYERISCHE MOTOREN WERKE AKT-GES. Dec. 22, 1938, No. 37358. Convention date, Dec. 22, 1937. [Class 110 (iii)] The hollow blades of an exhaust gas driven turbine are divided in the longitudinal direction so that the body 2, Fig. 1, can be made integral with the foot 1. The blade may be attached to a rotoi divided in a plane at right angles to its axis by gripping the foot 1 between the halves so formed. In a modification, Fig. 3 the halves 5, 6 of the body are made integral with the halves of a divided rotor 8 and are held together by bolts 9 and rivets 10.
