Abstract

522,166. Hydraulic turbines. THOMPSON, T. Dec. 2, 1938, No. 35187. [Class 110 (iii)] The blades 3 of the runner of a turbine, of the kind described in Specification 441,928, are mounted for angular adjustment. The shanks 1 of the blades are screwed into annular rings 2 and locked by set-screws 5. Several holes 9 are drilled in the blade shank so that the blade can be secured in any one of several angular positions. The ring 2 is secured to a cap 7 which is screwed on to the end of the shaft 4.
