Abstract

518,866. Making cutter reels of lawn mowers. CLEMSON BROS.; Inc. June 18, 1938, No. 18183. Convention date, June 18, 1937. [Classes 83 (i) and 83 (ii.)] Casting composite articles.-The fly knives 10 are set in slots 18 in a mould 16 where the knives are not held rigidly at more than one point, spiders or the like are cast on to the knives, and thereafter the edges of the knives are ground to a cylindrical surface. The mould is built up of pieces as shown to facilitate assembly and disassembly. Specification 370,992 is referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes also the welding of fly knives against shoulders on preformed spiders. This subject-matter does not appear :in the Specification as accepted.
