Abstract
517,173. Transformers. FIDES GES. FUR DIE VERWALTUNG UND VERWERTUNG VON GEWERBLICHEN SCHUTZRECHTEN. July 20, 1938, No. 21600. Convention date, July 21, 1937. [Class 38 (ii)] The upper part of a bushing-type insulator 5 forming a housing for an oil-immersed instrument transformer is adapted to form an oil conservator which is integral with the lower part containing the main body of oil. The two parts are separated by a partition 6 having a central hole partially closed by plates 12 to which is secured a fixing bolt 11 for an insulating closure cap 10. The bolt 11 may form the high voltage terminal in the case of voltage measuring transformers. In the case of a current transformer, Fig. 2, the primary leads are led out at the sides of the conservator chamber through connecting pieces 17, 18 'which also serve to support an insulating platform 19 carrying terminals 20 which may be bridged by a shorting strip 21. The inside of the conservator chamber may be metallized and guard rings 24 may be provided as indicated in broken lines.
