515,323. Cork compositions. TENNANT, W. J. (Crown Cork & Seal Co., Inc.). May 30, 1938, No. 16140. [Class 70] Dyed cork bodies are formed by heating in a mould a mixture of cork particles, a softening agent such as glycerine, glycol or sulphonated castor oil, a solution of a dye and a heat-setting binder which may be albumen, compounded rubber latex, phenol formaldehyde resin, or glue, or casein, in presence of formaldehyde. The cork particles may be coated with the dye solution before admixing the binder.
