Abstract
513,231. Liquid-fuel supply &c. ASIATIC PETROLEUM CO., Ltd., and RICHARDSON, A. W. April 2, 1938, No. 10171. [Class 75 (i)] [Also in Group XIII] Apparatus for giving a controlled quantity of heat to a unit such as a refrigerator, incubator, brooder battery, or greenhouse heater, comprises one or more trays 1 which can be slid, e.g., in guides 2, into the unit and is provided with wells 3, 4 which receive liquid fuel from tanks 5, 6 carried by the tray or trays, the wells being connected to a common delivery-line 8, 12 also carried by the tray or trays, a thermostaticallycontrolled valve 9, and one or more burner bowls 11 which receive burners 13 of the perforated drum type. The unit carries a casing 14 to house the burner or burners when in position. This casing has at the front a hinged flap operated by a rod and handle 17, to allow the passage of the burner when the tray is slid out of position. The flap may be arranged to open automatically when the tray is withdrawn, and to remain open until it has been reinserted. The burner bowl 11 is in the form of an annular groove. The various parts may be mounted on two or more trays. The pipe lines are then flexible. Specifications 488,494 and 511,211, [both in Group XXIX], are referred to.
