Abstract

508,454. Ice - making. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. Oct. 27, 1938, No. 31113. Convention date, Oct. 29, 1937. [Class 29] The transverse partitions 14 of a rigid metal grid of an ice-making tray have curved top flanges 18 engageable by a forked hand lever 19, which straddles the longitudinal partition and bears on the ice blocks, first to release the grid and ice from the tray and then to separate successive pairs of ice-blocks, in the manner set forth in Specification 506,103. The middle transverse partition is normal to the tray bottom and the others on either side of it converge towards the top at gradually increasirig small angles, while one end partition has a bottom flange 14a, Fig. 4, to force the end iceblocks against the tray wall to facilitate separation.
