507,719. Building - blocks ; slabs. WEST, P. J. C. Sept. 3, 1938, No. 25831. I Classes 20 (iv) and 87 (i)] Reinforced-concrete walling-slabs are provided with eyelets 2 projecting from their edges so that, when the slabs are laid with broken joints, the eyelets of three adjacent blocks register and can be fastened by plain or split pins or by bolts. Correct alignment is secured by ribs 8, 9 and grooves 10, 11 on. the slabs. In the example illustrated, the eyelets, which are at the comers and half-way along the longest side of the slabs, form part of a continuous metal rod which is bent so as to form a reinforcing frame imbedded in the mid-plane of the slab. In order that registering eyelets of adjacent slabs may overlap, the top and bottom corner eyelets are bent so as to lie on opposite sides of this plane. Further eyelets may be added in the case of long slabs.
