Abstract
506,182. Sheet - metal barrels &c. DEFAUW, M. F. M. Nov. 29, 1937, No. 32854. Convention date, Nov. 30, 1936. [Class 21] [Also in Group XXII] A sheet-metal barrel &c. whose curved wall is between 0À4 mm. and 1À0 mm. thickness is made with at least four transverse continuous or discontinuous corrugations of a uniform depth not less than 7 mm. in such a way that the thickness of the wall remains uniform. The bottom and cover may be reinforced by means of radial and annular corrugations, the radial corrugations extending to the periphery. Joints as shown in Figs. 3 and 4, may be employed or a deep corrugation may be formed in the wall adjacent the seamed rim.
