Abstract
506,158. Clips for holding paper sheets or the like. WATERLOW & SONS, Ltd., PERSON, L. G. P., and PERSON, H. L. Jan. 23, 1939, No. 2293. Addition to 492,224. [Class 146 (i)] Pivoted levers are arranged to coact with the pivoted retaining arms or elements of the parent Specification so that by raising one of the levers the retaining elements are moved to release the sheets. The levers 16 are provided with finger plates 16b which overlie the paper retaining pegs 3 and prevent them damaging the cover. Levers 16 are provided with a flange 16a engaging above the retaining element 6 and a projection 16c engaging below it. The flange 16a moves element 6 into engagement with the papers when lever 16 is depressed and projection 16c moves element 6 out of engagement when it is raised. The two retaining elements are geared to operate together as in the parent Specification. Levers 16 are pivoted at the same point 7 on the upstanding peg 5 as the elements 6. Flange 16a is extended to form the finger plate 16b.
