Abstract
504,149. Trucks. JUNKERS FLUGZEUG-UND-MOTORENWERKE AKT.-GES. March 14, 1938, No. 7853. Convention date, March 13, 1937. [Classes 103 (iv) and 108 (i)] [Also in Group XXII] In apparatus for the production of aircraft- &c. structures which are built up from component members, an appliance is fitted, with jigs for positioning and supporting the component members throughout the whole of their assembly and is adapted to be moved intermittently from one stage to another of a production line whereby the structure may be built up within the appliance. The appliance may consist of truck 12 movable along a floor 16 by means of wheels 13 and capable of being set down on supports 15 at the working stations of the production line. The jig 10 for supporting the structure 11 may be formed in one unit as shown in the Fig. or separate jigs may be attached to the truck and removed in sequence as the work assembly renders their use unnecessary. The trucks may run on rails or may be replaced by overhead runways, lifting tackle or roller tracks.
