Abstract

501,529. Valve circuits for wireless reception. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd., BARNARD, R. N., and KRAM, W. Aug. 30, 1937, No. 23679. [Class 40 (v)] In a superheterodyne wave translating system a dynatron local oscillator is employed and controlled in frequency by the potential applied to a control electrode. The Figure shows a superheterodyne receiver employing a dynatron V as local oscillator to the control grid of which a voltage is supplied from an error detector dependent on the deviation of the intermediate frequency so as to reduce the deviation. The control grid of the dynatron is biassed by resistance R in the' cathode lead which is shunted by byepass condenser C3. The error detector may be of the kind described in Specification 467,485.
