Abstract
501,493. Speed governors. BOSCH GES., K. May 19, 1938, No. 14914. Convention date, June 17, 1937. [Class 57] The regulating ruck 8 of a fuel-injection pump is connected to a diaphragm 4 loaded by a spring 9. The chamber 6 is connected by a flexible pipe 12 to the air induction pipe h, between the throttle valve m and the engine. The chamber 5 contains a small amount of oil to soften the diaphragm and is connected to the engine crank-case by a pipe 16. The engine crank-case is open to the atmosphere through a filter 15. The large volume of the crank-case reduces the movements of air therein, due to movements of the diaphragm, and tends to maintain a more steady pressure in the chamber 5.
