Abstract

500,623. Glazing roofs. WILLIAMS & WILLIAMS, Ltd., and WILLIAMS, J. Aug. 11, 1937, No. 22081 [Class 20 (iii)] A glass-supporting frame for a roof light or similar structure comprises astragals having two webs and flanges adapted to be connected at any angle by spacing members B and suitably angled connectors C bolted to the webs A, A<1>, Fig. 2. The webs may be parallel, being secured against a capping C and spacer B<4> by bolts O<4>, Fig. 4. Recesses A<2>, A<6> are provided to engage projections on the spacer and capping. The capping D may be sprung over the ribs A<5>, Fig. 2, or may be bolted to a central raised part of the connector. The astragals may be welded to the supporting girder. The astragals of a roof-light supporting panes in the same plane triay bo of the form disclosed in Specification 469,887, and the glass-clamping bars E<1> may be of the kind disclosed in that Specification or in Specification 477,880.
